Author Biography


The Police National Legal Database (PNLD) is housed within the West Yorkshire Police Training School at Bishopgarth Wakefield. It employs 7 legal advisers who are all legally qualified and have extensive experience within the Criminal Justice system. In 2003 all 43 Police Forces in England and Wales became subscribers to the PNLD, together with recognised organisations within the Criminal Justice system such as the National Crime Squad (NCS), the National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS), the Ministry of Defence Police and Centrex - the police training organisation. PNLD also has partners such as the Crown Prosecution Service.

Fraser Sampson LLB, LLM, MBA is a Solicitor in the Employment Group at Walker Morris. Formerly a superintendent and Head of the National Police Training Examinations and Assesment Unit, he is a highly respected authority on police law.
