Además, ha recibido tres veces el premio a la excelencia editorial otorgado por la American Society of Magazine Editors. En 2018, su programa semanal de televisión, Efecto Naím, ganó un Emmy. Antes de dedicarse al periodismo, Moisés Naím fue académico, ministro de Fomento de Venezuela y director ejecutivo del Banco Mundial. Naím obtuvo el doctorado en el Instituto Tecnológico de Massachusetts (MIT). Su libro anterior, La revancha de los poderosos (Debate, 2022) fue seleccionado por The New Yorker como uno de los mejores libros del año.
