Summary
Annotated compilation of illustrations of bicycles and bicycle components by the French illustrator Daniel Rebour, whose very finely drawn illustrations appeared in bicycle and motorcycle publications from 1945 until his retirement in 1983. The book is organized both by subject range based on the individual product category, and chronologically. Included are 200 drawings of complete bicycles and 1,800 drawings of individual bicycle components.
Author Biography
Rob van der Plas is the author of numerous books on cycling, including The Penguin Bicycle Handbook, The Mountain Bike Book, Bicycle Technology, and Bicycle Repair. He lives in San Francisco. He has been called as an expert witness in numerous cases involving bicycle-safety and patent disputes.
