Author Biography

Structuring Paragraphs and Essays, Fifth Edition, grew out of the common experience of three instructors teaching composition to beginning writers at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, an open-admissions university. A. FRANKLIN PARKS is now Professor of English at Frostburg State University, where he teaches composition, professional writing, and literature. JAMES A. LEVERNIER is Professor of English at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he teaches American literature and American studies. Until her retirement, IDA MASTERS HOLLOWELL was Professor of English at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
