Author Biography
Nell Cross Beckerman writes books for children, inspired by the magic of free play and exploration in nature. Her picture books include Down Under the Pier, illustrated by Rachell Sumpter, and When the Sky Glows, illustrated by David Litchfield. She is a former documentary TV producer/director and produced shows and websites for Nickelodeon, MSNBC, MTV, VH1, New Line Cinema, and The Discovery Channel. She lives in Venice Beach, California, with her two daughters and husband, and her Maltipoo, Teddy.
David Litchfield is the author-illustrator of The Bear and the Piano, which won the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize in the illustration category and has sold in twenty-four countries. He is also the author-illustrator of Grandad’s Secret Giant and the illustrator of many books for young readers. He lives in England with his family.
